Complete Package for Asmodee UK Warehouse Move, with Minimal Waste
Racking and Lighting and Electrics
Asmodee UK is at the forefront of distributing board games and collectable and trading games, such as Pokemon, to the toy trade. In response to major innovations in product design and new game concepts, this market is rapidly expanding and, as a result, Asmodee moved a part of its distribution operation to a larger facility in Bordon, Hampshire,
Working with Asmodee UK, and within the constraints of the building, IAW designed a system to store the equivalent of 2,000 pallets with picking shelving and integral task lighting in approximately 10% of the ground floor locations.
The existing fluorescent lighting in the building was outdated and completely unsuitable, needing replacement using modern, energy-efficient LED fittings and fire-resistant cabling. New power points and forklift charging points were also required. This meant that the existing lights and cabling had to be removed and all electrical supplies tested before the new lighting and power points could be installed. Redundant electrical fittings had to be scrapped and disposed of in accordance with the current WEEE regulations.
The project was completed in 7 weeks to allow Asmodee to commence operations on schedule.
Following this, Asmodee’s previous facility was cleared of racking, mezzanine flooring and lighting
The electrics were made safe and all excess material was either sent for recycling or disposed of ethically, whilst the racking was modified and reused in the new facility.
